So far behind....

I last posted something on this blog in January.  About our family vacation last July.  I have been so busy that this blog has taken a back seat.

I'm wondering if anyone even reads it?

If you read my blog, even if you never comment, can you let me know?  Just wondering if it is worth it to keep going.  I do like having a record of everything we have done, but it is so hard to keep up.

And it feels like no one blogs anymore.  I'm always a few years behind the curve when it comes to what is cool and popular.  Most of the blogs I used to follow have stopped posting anything.  Probably too busy, like me.

Day 6 - Dinosaur National Monument

Our last day of vacation was at Dinosaur National Monument in Vernal.  It was pretty cool.  The kids were all pretty tired and grumpy from a whole week of driving and walking, so there were some meltdowns this day.  

We also went to the Natural History Museum.

Then even more driving before finally reaching home!  What a fun/long/exhausting trip!

Day 5 - Black Canyon of the Gunnison

I started blogging about this trip in October.  We took the trip in July.  It is now January.  I guess life just got in the way of my little blog the no one reads.  

We spent most of our days exploring, then did the driving after dinner.  We lodged near the places we planned to visit the next morning.  That way we could wake up and get out to explore right away.  Day 5 we were at the Black Canyon of the Gunnison in Colorado.  This is an amazing park that I never heard of before Dan told me about it.  This is not a place to go if you are afraid of heights.  The cliffs are STEEP!  They have the places you can visit pretty well fenced off, but still, it is pretty jaw-dropping.  It was very beautiful.  The video we watched in the visitor's center told of the drastic measures the first explorers took to get through this canyon.  Amazing.
