Friday, January 10 - This was our last day at Disneyland. We all wore our Disney shirts and hats for a picture out front. I love this picture :) The morning started out great. The park was pretty empty, and lines were short. We went on Pirates & Indiana Jones, then rode the train over to Toontown.

Around the time we went to Splash Mountain, the park suddenly got crazy crowded! I guess all the locals with season passes decided to come Friday afternoon. It was just packed. Wall-to-wall people everywhere. It was so crazy. We almost lost Jorgen at one point, it was kind of scary. So we didn't get to do as many rides in the afternoon.

The fireworks were amazing! We were actually going to try to get out of the park before the fireworks, because the kids were all so grumpy and we were just done. But we got stuck in the crowd and couldn't move. So we stayed, and we are glad we did. The fireworks show was just incredible. Somehow we managed to be right in the middle, so there were fireworks going off all around us. It was a much bigger show that the Christmas fireworks we remembered from 3 years ago. We were glad we accidentally stayed long enough to see them. Except that afterwards was a complete nightmare trying to get out of the park without losing anyone. The only ride we weren't able to go on that we kind of wanted to was Space Mountain. The line was a 90 minute wait, and the Fast Passes were gone by the time we tried to get some. We pretty much got to do everything else that we wanted to.

So, even with all our little mishaps, we still had a great time! Of course the kids want to go back again. We have to let our bank account recover first. We decided we won't go again until Violet is tall enough to ride almost all the rides, so maybe when she is 5 or 6.
We left the next morning, which was Saturday, and drove to Cedar City. The motel we stayed at was pretty run-down, but it was cheap and had enough beds, so good enough. We were all so tired we slept pretty well anyway. We drove the rest of the way home Sunday. I only took one picture on the drive home, Violet with her baby and her new Mickey Mouse doll. Her best buddies!
