Cub Scouts Bike Rodeo

 Last Friday at Pack Meeting they had a Bike Rodeo.  Jorgen loved just riding his bike all over the parking lot.  Andrew and Bethany tried out the different courses they had set up.  It was a lot of fun, but very hot!

Rare Moment of Cooperation

Normally my kids just fight with each other most of the day, pretty much every day.  Anyone else's kids do this?  But last Friday they actually played together building train tracks for at least an hour.  I think it did eventually end with fighting, but at least they were playing together for awhile first.

 People keep asking me who Violet looks like.  Well, you can decide for yourselves.  I think they all look so alike!  It's hard to decide.  You tell me - which is which?

2 months old and 2nd grade program

Thursday Violet turned 2 months old.  I can't believe she is 2 months already!  Time flies with a newborn.  We took her to get her check-up and shots.  She gave the doctor and nurses such big grins, it was cute.  Until the nurses jabbed her with the shots.  The look on her face was, "that's what I get for smiling at you?"  She wasn't too happy, but she really didn't cry very long.

Later the same day, we went over to the school for Andrew's 2nd grade program.  It was very cute and they did a good job.

Before Violet went to sleep for the night, I tried to get a few shots of her at 2 months old.  She sure is a cutie.  I got lots of pictures, but here are a few of my favorites.

Violet's Room

I wanted to get a picture or two of Violet's room.  She was asleep at the time, so I was just in the doorway.  I'll have to get some more when she is awake so I can get better shots of everything.  Dan did a good job painting and putting in the baseboard and chair rail.  I love the color we picked, it is a very calm, peaceful lavendar color.  She is still sleeping in our room in the cradle at night, but she has taken a few naps in the swing and the crib.

A sweet moment

This picture was taken on Father's Day.  Violet has done this a couple of times - falls asleep on the floor next to her daddy.  I have never been able to do this.  Of course, she only sleeps for about 5 minutes, then wakes up super mad, like "how dare you let me fall asleep not in your arms!"  I thought it was cute that they both fell asleep together.

Father's Day

The kids were super excited to give Dan all of the various cards, craft projects, and presents they had made for Father's Day.  I think the homemade cards are the best!  He also got some new shirts and a book of "Baby Blues" comics.  He is such a great Dad and we love him!

 I was attempting to take some photos for a Father's Day card for Dan.  I wanted to do little feet, little hands, and little faces.  Some turned out okay, others were quite comical.

Fun with the Camera

Jorgen loves to have me take pictures of him and Violet.  He also loves to take pictures himself.  So here's a sampling of some recent pictures.  I am always amazed at how quickly babies change! 

Violet's Blessing Day

We blessed Violet this past Sunday, June 3rd.  We amazingly made it to church on time for the 9:00 meeting.  (By the way, I've decided 9:00 church and a new baby don't mix well...it is so hard to get everyone ready on time!)

Anyways, it was a beautiful day and it was fun to have so many of our family come to visit and meet Violet.  We had an easy brunch afterwards at our house and just enjoyed the company.

We tried to prop Violet up on the couch to get a few pictures, but she didn't like it too well.  I love the different faces she made, none of which were too happy.  Right after this, she fell asleep.
