Girl Scout Cookies

One of the joys of being in Girl Scouts is you get to sell cookies! Bethany has already sold a bunch, but if you are interested give us a call (825-5729). Technically we aren't supposed to sell them on the internet, but you can call and talk to Bethany and she'll set you up with some. I think Bethany's friend and her sisters hit most of the ward, but if you were missed or want some more let us know by Saturday (Jan 31). (you know you want some more, right?)

Another birthday

Well, I had another birthday yesterday. When you get into your 30's they aren't as exciting to get to. I kind of wish they would slow down coming. My kids did a great job of reminding me how old I am. They made me these cute cards out of yarn.

Bethany looks really concerned about all that fire.

Someone please call the fire department, quick! It was enough flames to put off some serious heat.

Unfortunately, I didn't get all the candles out in one breath (it's a lot of candles! plus Bethany put on a trick candle) So my wish for obedient children will have to wait.

I got some nice gifts from Dan and from the kids, and we went out to dinner at Lone Star, one of my favorites. We were going to try Olive Garden, but I forgot that it is impossible to get in there on a Saturday (there was a 40 minute wait, which isn't good with 3 hungry kids). Other than that it was a normal Saturday filled with chores and grocery shopping.

I thought about not revealing my age, but most of you who read my blog know how old I am anyway, so it's not really a secret. I used to think 30 was SO OLD! Time sure changes your perspective on things.

Just Some Cute Pictures

Bethany won the next level of Reflections for her Musical Composition. She was so excited to get a "real" medal. Now it goes to Region. Way to go Bethany!

Andrew is always cold (like me) because he has no meat on his bones. So on Sunday he was warming up in a fuzzy blanket.

Bethany got invited to an all pink birthday party for her friend. I didn't think to take a picture of her dressed head-to-toe in pink, but I should have. It was quite the sight. She got this delicious caramel/white chocolate apple from the party and wanted a picture of it before she ate it. She was even nice enough to share a little with everyone. Yum!

I guess somehow the Kix box got left within Jorgen's reach, and this is the result. I was trying to tell him no, we don't do that, but was laughing instead, so I took some pictures. Incidentally, did you know that when you vacuum Kix with a hose attachment it sounds like popcorn popping? Quite entertaining for a 14 month old.

Spaghetti Night. Need I say more?

Curious Jorgen

Jorgen loves electronic things. He loves to push buttons. He loves remotes (and knows how to use them), cell phones, computer keyboards, and printers. I got a couple pictures today of him playing with the printer. He loves to turn it on and off and look for paper (if I remember, I make sure there isn't paper in it unless I'm using it). He likes to grab the paper as it comes out of the printer, which smears the ink, so I can't really do any printing with him around. I guess I have another future gadget geek in the making. As Dan puts it, he's got "the knack." (it's a Dilbert thing)

Happy 35th Anniversary

Well, I've searched high and low and can't find the CD I'm looking for with the picture of my parents' engagement picture. I know I have it somewhere...

Anyway, I just wanted to wish Mom & Dad a Happy 35th Anniversary. They were married on January 5, 1974 in the Ogden Temple in a snowstorm. Well, the storm was outside. Kind of like today's storm, I guess. My mom said that no one local came to the wedding because of the storm, but her family from Idaho came anyway. I guess if you are from Idaho you know how to drive in snow.

Their anniversary always comes so quick after Christmas that we usually don't do much to celebrate. We're usually all partied out. Plus my parents are not really party animals. But 35 years is a great accomplishment - so congratulations!
