Family Portraits

We finally got our family portaits finished. They were taken in August, then we viewed them in September and now they are finally printed. They turned out really nice. We had a hard time choosing which poses to keep, they were all so cute (the kids anyway). We had them taken at Robert Wood Photography in Layton. We spent a little more than we were planning on, but we haven't had nice pictures for awhile, so it's okay. Jorgen can finally have a place on our wall!
I have to say I have the cutest kids ever!

Happy Birthday Bethany!

Today is Bethany's 7th birthday! I can't believe my baby girl is growing up so fast. I got her school pictures on Friday and noticed how much older she looks even from a year ago. (The pictures didn't turn out great, Bethany even said when she got in the car "Mom look at my funny pictures." She didn't like the way she is smiling. Oh well. We had some professional pictures done that should be ready to pick up next week). Instead of having a big party, we let her invite one friend and we went to the new Chuck-E-Cheese in Layton yesterday. It was very crowded but we had a good time. I didn't want to pay the $12 per child party fee, so we just took our own cake and had our own party, but Bethany was looking enviously at the other parties going on. She took it pretty well, though, and didn't complain. She invited Nicole, her best friend that lives 2 doors down, and they had fun. I put pictures from that on a slide show (see below).

Today we are going to the pumpkin patch and then to dinner, Bethany's choice. I'll post some pictures of that later.

Bethany and Nicole joined a Girl Scout Brownie troop. They meet every other Friday. Bethany LOVES it. They do crafts and projects and artsy stuff - all things she loves to do anyway.

Bethany really wanted a Webkinz for her birthday. I got her the white poodle (her request) and Nicole surprised her with a second Webkinz, a cat. She was so excited. Now Andrew wants one (Christmas idea!) The papers on the wall behind her were put up by Bethany this morning - she made herself a Happy Birthday banner.

Here are a few cute baby pics of Bethany. I must not have any toddler pictures scanned into the computer (that was BD - Before Digital) so I don't have any from those years (they are in scrapbooks downstairs). She sure was a cute baby!

We hope you have a very Happy Birthday Bethany! We're so glad you are a part of our family!

Snow Day - in October!

We woke up to at least 5 inches of snow this morning. I knew it was snowing when I went to bed, but didn't think we would get so much! I am not ready for this kind of weather yet!

We have 1:00 church, so the kids went out to play before church and Dan tried to shake some of the snow off the trees so the branches wouldn't break.

I can't believe how tall Bethany is getting!!

By the way, I added a bunch of new pictures in separate posts. Keep scrolling!

Crazy Hair Day

Friday was Crazy Hair Day at school.

Can't leave out a cute smile on Andrew!

My little Friger-rator

11 months - almost standing on his own

Jorgen turned 11 months old last week. He loves to stand in front of the open fridge and explore. I think I have a similar picture of Andrew somewhere, but not Bethany. Boys!

Watching Conference

I really did enjoy Conference, but it always makes me so sleepy. Apparently it works for Andrew too. There were some good talks (the ones I heard anyway).

Fall Leaves

Andrew, Nicole, & Bethany throwing leaves

That rake is as big as you, Andrew!

Jorgen got in on the action, too.

At one point, Andrew felt left out and pouted on the porch.

Bethany was throwing leaves on her friend Nicole's head. I think some went down her shirt.

and the very tiny leaf pile

Throwing leaves on Jorgen - he loved it

What a cutie pie!

Today the kids wanted to rake the leaves and jump in the piles. You can see in the pictures that our tree is still mostly green, so the pile wasn't very big, but they still had fun. I think I have some nearly identical pictures from last fall, only Jorgen was in my belly still. Fun times!

Park Pictures

A couple weekends ago we went to Barnes Park in Kaysville where we had a picnic, fed the ducks, and played on the playground. Dan took Bethany and Andrew in the bike trailer and I drove with Jorgen to meet them. It was kind of windy and started to rain when we left. We had a good time, though.
