Violet at 4 months old

Violet turned 4 months old on the 21st.  Where does the time go?  She is such a fun, happy baby.  We love having her in our family.

She was trying to grab the camera from me:

Dan was holding her up in a standing position:

And sitting (with help):

Her favorite thing to eat is her toes:

Pack Meeting

Andrew had pack meeting and earned a bunch of belt loops.

Davis County Fair

On Friday, August 17th we went to the Davis County Fair.  We went right at opening so we could take Violet to the baby contest.  She didn't win, but she got a ribbon and a sand bucket for participating.

We saw the stingrays:

Jorgen got a police badge:

Saw the chickens:  (they are very stinky!)

Rode some rides:

Took a nap:

Watched a magician:

And played in the science tent:

It was super hot and we had several meltdowns, but we survived.  It seems like they have the same things every year, so we are getting a little bored with it.  Maybe we'll have to try Weber County next year.

Swimming Lessons

While we were off-track, I signed the kids up for swimming lessons.  They had a great time and learned a lot.  This is a mixture of pictures from each of the 8 days of lessons.

Treehouse Museum

Jorgen and Serena making silly faces with apples.

My sister Eilene came from Oregon to visit for a few days.  It was great to see her and Serena.  Jorgen especially loved having Serena here to play with.  They got along great together.  He keeps asking when we can go to Serena's house.

While they were here we got a new family picture with everyone in it.  The last one was about 5 years ago, and there are more grandkids now.  Hopefully I can post one when we get the photos.

Friday we checked the two older kids out of school early and went to the Treehouse Museum in Ogden with all our cousins.  We had a great time!

And of course we had to stop at Farr's for ice cream afterwards.  Yum yum!
