After Arches we drove from Moab down to this cabin in the middle of nowhere outside of Monticello. It was late and dark by the time we got there, so all we had time for was showers and sleep. In the morning we explored a little. It was kind of sad that we spent so little time here, because it seemed like a great place to relax and spend a day. Oh well.
We were going to do some stargazing here, but there was a huge thunderstorm overnight, so it didn't happen. The storm was gone by morning, though.

| Huge wrap-around deck - the kids loved running around it. |
After breakfast we packed up and went to a cool place I had never heard of before - Edge of the Cedars State Park in Monticello. They have a really cool museum with an amazing collection of artifacts.

Cool Art Sculpture (not ancient)
Then more driving - this time to Natural Bridges National Monument. This was also a very cool place I have never been or even heard of. We chose to do some of the easier hikes and overlooks instead of the long, strenuous hikes. It was still spectacular!

| Across the canyon were these ancient dwellings. Dan brought the huge lens for the camera to get this shot. |
